Below is a featured selection of Ewan’s broadcast journalism, and he has more projects, interviews and vlogs in the pipeline to be published soon.

Newsreading: The Voice commercial radio

During his university holidays, Ewan works for the popular commercial radio station for North Devon, The Voice. He founded and edits the local news team for The Voice, reporting on his local community and bringing it all together in morning news bulletins, which he writes and presents. He reads the 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 o’clock bulletins throughout the flagship ‘Hopps and Chapple’ breakfast show. The Voice, across FM, digital and online, is listened to by at least 80,000 people a month.

Presenting: Steel City Darts 2018

Ewan presented this popular annual darts fixture between the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam, streamed live on Youtube by Forge TV. This involved introducing and closing the coverage alongside a pundit, two more questioning segments with a pundit in the interval and interviews with five winners on stage in front of the 450-strong venue audience.

Presenting: Sheffield SU elections results night

Streamed live on Youtube and Facebook by Forge TV. Ewan presented two segments (two SU officer winners) of the night’s coverage, involving interviews with pundits, throws to other studios and an interview with the newly announced winner.

Facebook Live: Sheffield SU election debate night

Highlighting the versatility of my presenting, Ewan presented multiple live videos on Forge Radio’s Facebook page throughout the Sheffield SU Officer election debate night. Whilst the debate itself was being streamed live on Youtube, the aim of his coverage was to provide a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the night. He managed to interview most of the production team from sound technicians to live bloggers and pundits.
