I’m Ewan, 20, a freelance journalist. My writing falls under 60 national bylines with RightsInfo, The Telegraph, The Independent, The i Paper and HuffPost UK, rooted in several years of reporting experience for local Archant and student titles. I also work occasionally as a paid freelancer for BBC local radio, and hold three months’ editorial production experience with BBC Radio Sheffield. I embrace digital storytelling and command skill in using CMS and SEO tools to bring stories to life online and on social media platforms.
Flexible and available for freelance multimedia news reporting shift work (across online, print and radio), I specialise in the areas of education, politics, equality and LGBT+ rights, and social affairs. I have a strong understanding of media law and have handled many legally sensitive stories at editorial level. I’m also currently reading Politics and International Relations at the University of Sheffield. Whether to commission me or just to chat, please do get in touch.
